Welcome messages & verification
Greet new members, and gate your server behind a one-click verify button.
Two things in one plugin, and you can use either on its own:
- a welcome message when someone joins (and a goodbye when they leave),
- a verify button that hands out a role — so lurkers and raid accounts see nothing until they click.
Set it up
- Enable Welcome & Verification in the Plugins market.
- Open the Welcome page and pick a channel plus a message.
- For verification, pick the verify channel, the role to grant, and optionally an unverified role that new members get on join.
Placeholders
Both the welcome and the goodbye message understand:

Anything the bot doesn't recognise is left as-is — a typo stays visible instead of quietly disappearing.
How the gate works
With an unverified role set, every new member gets it on join. Deny that role access to the rest of the server, and the verify channel becomes the only thing they can see. Clicking the button grants the verify role and removes the unverified one.
The button survives bot restarts — CloudMod re-registers it, so old panels keep working.
Good to know
- Bots are skipped — they're never greeted and never get the unverified role.
- Turning the plugin off turns everything off, including the verify button.
- Both roles must sit below the CloudMod role, and CloudMod needs Manage Roles. Roles managed by another integration (Server Booster, a Twitch sub role) can't be handed out by any bot — Discord doesn't allow it.
- Goodbye messages are new. They work, but they've only just gone live — the dashboard labels them accordingly.
