Bot language
Which language the bot and the dashboard speak, where you choose it, and what is never translated.
CloudMod is built to speak more than one language. Available languages: English, German (Beta), French (Beta), Spanish (Beta), Polish (Beta), Italian (Beta), Dutch (Beta).
A language marked Beta is machine-translated and not yet reviewed by a native speaker, so single texts can still appear in English. Report mistakes in the support Discord. Marketing pages and legal texts are not translated.
Who sees which language
| Where | Language |
|---|---|
| Replies to a slash command, which only the person who ran it sees | That person's own Discord language |
| Posts the bot makes in your servers: welcome messages, log entries, stream cards, panels, and direct messages to members | The network language |
| Direct messages to you as the owner, for example about a log channel the bot can't post in or a plan change | The dashboard language you chose, otherwise the network language |
| The dashboard | The language you chose in the dashboard |
Choose the network language
Open your project, then Settings → Bot language. You can only pick languages that are switched on. CloudMod never sets it for you — not even from a server's Discord language — so an existing network stays on English until you change it.
Choose the dashboard language
Use the language menu in the top bar or on the Account page. The choice is saved in your browser and in your account, so a new browser picks it up after you sign in. Your account language is only used for direct messages to you; everything else follows the browser.
Beta languages
A language marked (Beta) is machine-translated and not reviewed yet, so some texts may still appear in English.
What is never translated
- Everything you write yourself — welcome texts, auto-responses, templates, panel titles and the like — is posted exactly as you wrote it, in any language. A German or Spanish community can greet and answer in its own language whatever the network language is.
- Slash command names, and the names of your servers, channels and roles.
- Audit log entries in the dashboard, which stay English so filters and support see the same data.
