Giveaways

The Giveaways plugin runs prize draws end-to-end: members enter with a single button, and CloudMod draws a fair winner automatically at the deadline — no reaction counting, no spreadsheets.

Start a giveaway

1. Enable the Giveaways plugin in the Plugin Market.
2. On the Giveaways page → Create giveaway:
   • a prize description
   • the target channel
   • a duration (when it ends)
   • the number of winners (1–50)

CloudMod posts an embed with an Enter button, a live entry count and a relative "ends in" timer. Pick a duration from the presets (1h / 6h / 12h / 1 day / 3 / 7 days) or type a custom one in minutes (up to 30 days).

Entry requirements (optional)

Lock a giveaway down so only the right people can win:

• Required role — only members with a chosen role can enter.
• Min. account age (days) — the Discord account must be at least N days old (stops throwaway accounts).
• Min. days on server — the member must have joined at least N days ago (stops join-to-win).

Members who don't qualify get a reply only they can see, explaining why, when they click Enter. Clicking Enter again leaves the giveaway.

What happens at the deadline

Within about 30 seconds of the deadline, CloudMod draws the winners at random from all entrants who are still on the server and still meet the requirements. It announces them in a celebratory embed with a jump-link back to the giveaway — you don't have to be online. Enable DM the winners and each winner also gets a direct message. End now in the dashboard draws immediately.

Reroll

If a winner never claims their prize, Reroll draws a new set of winners from the remaining entrants, leaving out the current winners. It works once the giveaway has ended.

Ended giveaways are deleted 14 days after they end, including the Discord post, so they can't be rerolled after that. You can also remove one earlier with Delete.

Prefer Discord? These are the options of /giveaway create:

The person who runs it becomes the giveaway host (giveaways created in the dashboard have no host). /giveaway reroll and /giveaway end take the 6-digit code shown when it was created (giveaway_id).

The /giveaway commands need Manage Messages (or Manage Server, or CloudMod admin rights) and are hidden from everyone else by default.

Setup notes

• The dashboard creates giveaways on your main server; to run one on a sub-server, use /giveaway create there.
• Requirement: View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the target channel.
