Spotify release notifications
Post an embed when an artist you track drops a new single or album.
Track artists on Spotify; when they release something, the bot posts it with cover art, release date and a link.
Set it up
- Enable Spotify Releases in the Plugins market (needs Network or higher).
- On the Spotify page, add an artist and pick the channel the announcement should go to.
- Optionally set a ping role, a message template and an embed colour.
What triggers a post
New singles, EPs and albums. Spotify has no push API for releases, so CloudMod polls roughly every 30 minutes — an announcement lands within about half an hour of the release showing up, not the same second. For a release-day post that is fine; for anything you want to time to the minute, schedule it yourself.
Good to know
- The target channel must be in your network. A channel from another server is rejected when you save.
- Each release is announced once. Spotify sometimes re-lists an album (different market, remaster); CloudMod remembers what it has already posted.
- If the announcement can't be posted, the release is not silently marked as done — you'll see it in the logs.
- Artist images are loaded from Spotify's own CDN.
