Twitch live notifications

CloudMod automatically posts to your Discord channel the moment a configured Twitch streamer goes live.

Add a streamer

On the Twitch page → Add:

• Twitch login (e.g. shroud) — validated against the Twitch API. The channel link (twitch.tv/shroud) and @shroud work too.
• a Target channel on the main server
• optionally a Mention role
• optionally a Message using the placeholders {streamer}, {title}, {game}, {url}
• an Embed color (default: Twitch purple)
• Enabled — switch notifications for this streamer off without removing it
• Edit post to "offline" when the stream ends — on by default

What happens on going live

When the streamer goes live, the bot posts a message and a card below it.

The message carries the role ping and your text:

• If you set a custom message, it's filled with the placeholders.
• Otherwise CloudMod posts its standard message: 🔴 streamer is now live on Twitch!

The card shows:

• the streamer's name and profile picture, linked to the channel
• the stream title as a link
• a status line: 🔴 LIVE · 🎮 game · 👥 viewers · ⏱ how long ago the stream started
• the stream language and tags, when Twitch provides them
• a large preview image of the stream
• a Watch stream button, and the stream start time next to the footer

When the stream ends, the card turns grey: "⚫ Stream ended · 2h 14m" with the start and end time, and a Watch the VOD button if Twitch saved one (no button otherwise). The message above the card stays as it was. You can switch this off per streamer.

Duplicate posts for the same stream are de-duplicated for 30 minutes.

Preview and test

While you add or edit an entry, the dialog shows a live preview of the post — your message, role, color and footer, filled with sample stream data. When you edit an existing entry it uses the real streamer name and picture. The preview is built by the same code as the real post, so what you see is what your members get. Switch between Live and Stream ended to see both versions of the post.

Each entry has a Send test button. It posts a sample notification to the entry's channel, using the settings you last saved. The test is clearly marked (🧪 Test notification at the start of the message and in the card footer) and never pings the role — the role name appears as plain text. If CloudMod can't post there, the dashboard tells you why (for example a missing Send Messages or Embed Links permission, or a channel that no longer exists).

If the page says the live connection isn't active, click ↻ Reconnect to Twitch.

Commands

On your main server, members with Manage Server (or your CloudMod admins) can manage streamers from Discord:

Stats

The page shows live posts today and over the last 7 days, plus how many streamers are live right now.

Requirements: Send Messages and Embed Links in the target channel.
