Channel automations

Auto-react to every post in a channel, and optionally open a thread on each one.

Per-channel rules that run on every new message. Two actions today:

  • auto-react with one or more emoji,
  • auto-thread — create a thread on each post, so replies don't bury the next one.

Typical uses: a showcase channel where every image gets a ⭐, or an introductions channel where each post gets its own discussion thread.

Set it up

  1. Enable Channel Automations in the Plugins market.
  2. On the Channel Automations page, add a rule: pick the channel, the emoji, and whether a thread should be created.
  3. Optionally give the thread a name template.

Good to know

  • Rules fire on every message in that channel, including short ones. Use a channel where that's what you want.
  • Custom emoji must come from a server the bot is in.
  • A thread per post adds up — Discord archives inactive threads, but a very busy channel will still fill the list.

Requirements: Add Reactions and Create Public Threads in the channel.
