Sticky messages

Keep a note at the bottom of a channel — it re-posts itself whenever someone writes.

Channel rules that scroll away are rules nobody reads. A sticky message stays at the bottom: whenever someone posts, the bot deletes its old copy and posts the note again underneath.

Set it up

  1. Enable Sticky Messages in the Plugins market.
  2. On the Sticky Messages page, add a channel and the text that should stay there.

You can run several sticky messages at once — one per channel.

Good to know

  • In a fast channel the sticky lags behind. The bot waits a moment before re-posting so it doesn't fight a running conversation; in a channel with constant traffic it may sit several messages up. That's a deliberate trade-off against spamming your channel.
  • Editing the text takes effect on the next re-post, not immediately.
  • Removing the entry deletes the current copy too.

Requirements: Send Messages and Manage Messages (to remove the previous copy) in the channel.
