Status roles

A passive way to promote your server: members who write your invite link (or any keyword) into their Discord custom status get a role — and everyone who looks at their profile sees the link.

Set it up

1. Enable Status Roles in the Plugin Market.
2. On the Status Roles page, pick the reward role and add your keywords — one per line.

Keywords are matched case-insensitively, anywhere in the status text — and also in activity names, such as the game or app someone is playing. .gg/yourserver and discord.gg/yourserver are both worth listing. Each keyword can be up to 100 characters.

How often it checks

Check every on the plugin page decides when CloudMod compares statuses with the reward role:

• 1 hour (the default), 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours — CloudMod goes through the server's members at that interval and adds or removes the role in one pass. A member who changes their status gets or loses the role up to that long afterwards. In exchange, the bot doesn't react to every single status change, which keeps role changes and audit-log noise down on busy servers.
• Instantly — every status change is handled the moment it happens.

After a restart of the bot, the first pass runs within a few minutes.

Requires the Presence intent

This plugin reads member presence, which Discord treats as a privileged permission that has to be granted to the bot itself. Until it is, the plugin is inert: you can switch it on, and nothing happens.

The plugin page reminds you that Presence must be enabled; it doesn't check it live. If roles aren't being assigned, get in touch.

Good to know

• With an interval, members who already had the keyword before you set this up get the role at the next pass. With Instantly, they get it at their next status change.
• The role is removed again when the keyword disappears from the status.
• Members who are offline or invisible are never touched. Discord doesn't share their status then, so CloudMod can't tell whether the keyword is still there — the role stays as it is until they're back online.
• The role belongs to one server, and is only handed out there.
• The role must sit below the CloudMod role.
• This plugin needs Network or higher.
